The Australian Anglo Indian Melbourne Rangers Club holds its monthly meetings on the first Thursday of each month. One of the items on the agenda is the club's Calendar of Events. As soon as dates and events are finalised, the website is updated. The Calendar of Events is also part of the periodic newsletters mailed out to all active members.

Pokies Weekend: the Club is organising a Pokies weekend trip to Echuca-Barham on Feb, 27th. & 28th, 2010.. Please call Linda Swaine on 97638404 (after 5:00 p.m.) at the earliest to arrange for a seat on the coach. Seats are limited, so pl. do not delay. Charges: $60 per head which covers the coach trip, motel accommodation, Sat dinner, Sun breakfast & lunch, meals & accommodation. Pickup point: Waverley Gardens Shopping Centre, 7:30 a.m. sharp.

Bingo Night (April 9th, 2010): very popular with our members & guest. The Bingo Night will be held at the Southern Community Centre, Mulgrave at 7:30 p.m. sharp. A snack pack will be provided. BYO drinks. Cut off date to confirm attendance is April 4th, 2010.
Charges: Members - $10 / Guests - $15.

Nite in Calcutta - Hollywood Bollywood Party (May 22nd, 2010): the Nite in Calcutta is one of our club's flagship events & is a sellout each year. Dress to impress & walk the red carpet to win fantastic prizes for the best dressed. Dance the night away to the music of the popular band, Replay-6 & DJ music. Professional dance troupe to grace the night. Hawker style food on sale, BYO drinks. Cut off date to confirm attendance is May 12th. 2010. Limited numbers, first-come-first-serve basis. Bingo & Hoppers Nite (July 23rd, 2010): at the Southern Community Hall, Mulgrave at 7:30 p.m. A dinner of unlimited hoppers, gravy & sambols will be served. BYO drinks. Pl. call to confirm attendance by latest July 17th. as this is a catered event. The night will also include raffles with exciting prizes.

Anglo Indian Day Celebration Lunch (Aug 1st, 2010) Members Only: at the Mechanics Institute Hall, Drummond Street, Oakleigh from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Come enjoy a sumptuous smorgasbord lunch, bingo & music by AI artists. BYO drinks. Tickets must be purchased by latest 23rd. July for catering purpose.

Annual General Body Meeting (Aug. 22nd. 2010): the AGM will be held at the Southern Community Hall (small) at 1:30 p.m. The Nominations Forms for nominating members to the new committee for the term Aug. 2010 to Aug. 2011, will be mailed out along with the next newsletter, due in the last week of July. The turnover at the AGM over the past years have been satisfactory. Please ensure that you mail back completed nomination forms at least 2 weeks prior to the date as well as attend the AGM to voice your suggestions, opinions, concerns etc. for the future functioning of the club

Cinnamon Club - Luncheon with Friends (Sept 12th, 2010): enjoy the ultimate experience in fine Indian cuisine at the Cinnamon Club, 1291-1293 Napean Hwy, Cheltenham on the Sunday after Father’s Day at 12:30 p.m. The highlights of the afternoon are good music & dancing, a super lunch, raffle & family games.
